The Webb & Lashbrook team is a personable, articulate and talented crew that brings a range of construction skills to every project.

The most senior staff members are David Rentel and Ivano Zappetti, two former partners in their own small design/build firm. Both bring their considerable creative capabilities to their work: David studied fine art on his way to an arts degree, as well as music composition. He is a journeyman mason and his artistic skills truly show in his extraordinary tile work.

Attention to quality and detail are also hallmarks of Ivano, a 30-year veteran of the arts and dance community, whose singing skills are appreciated by many a client as an added bonus on the job site. Ivano is a classically trained, journeyman mason and tile setter who learned the trade from his Italian mason father. Ivano also designs and builds custom furniture.

Ed Zappetti was also raised in a classic mason family tradition. A professional labourer, Ed’s skills are in general construction, masonry repair, rough carpentry, and landscape work. Hardworking and thorough, Ed has worked in construction for over 25 years, and has been with W&L since 2004.

Bruce Tough, a former professional musician, comes to the team from a mould-making background. Bruce specializes in framing and general construction, and he is on track to become a journeyman carpenter.

The newest recruit to our team is Devlin Keenan. A graduate of George Brown College’s three-year Building Renovation Technologist program, Devlin has been a Youth Programs Advisor and taught Karate at the YMCA. He is also an avid go-cart racer on the Ontario circuit.
