Roncesvalles Village House

The transformation of this compact, 1920s arts-and-crafts house in the Roncesvalles Village neighbourhood saw a built-in library inserted to connect kitchen and living spaces. As well, bathrooms, mechanical and electrical systems were designed to create an efficient, light-filled, modern family home that retained the spirit and quality of original plaster walls and details.

One of the challenges of this project (designed by Luc Bouliane of Teeple Architects) was an extremely tight construction window, with all work completed in a two-month window between real-estate closings.
